  1. Not sure if local restrictions will still apply but all this seasons completed games seem to be available to watch free on the nhl live app. Might be a good time waster during home isolation.
  2. So let's say we offer Monahan, Hanifin and a first for Eichel and Buffalo counters with we want Tkachuk, Valimaki and a first. Do we still make the deal? I do.
  3. 8am game here. Will be watching for 20mins before heading to work. Go flames go.
  4. I think this is very close to the best looking possible line combinations for the flames at present. I would like to see Jankowski tried on RW with Johnny and Mony before we give up on him completely. Hard to justify with his play recently but I can't forget his 4 goal game centering the top line a couple of seasons back. I think he may respond to playing with more skill.
  5. Only 36% on the dot tonight so far and it feels like even when we win the draw the puck bounces to the kings. Would love to see that get back to 50% by the end of the game.
  6. Better second but still too many poor passes
  7. Good afternoon from Australia. Go flames go.
  8. Nice move by Mangiapane but hitting the post - pretty much sums up the flames luck at the moment
  9. Ok first. No goals against at least. We need to win some faceoffs
  10. I really hope TJ is ok and all those who witnessed the episode are coping ok. While playing field hockey as a teenager I had a teammate have a seizure on the field. It is really scary stuff. All the best TJ.
  11. Wow. What a comeback! Hopefully this gives us the momentum to get our season back on track! I am so glad I kept watching
  12. Will we see the two number 17's drop the gloves in the 3rd?
  13. Much like game one, lots of rust, passes into skates or just out reach etc. Other than that, a lot to like.
  14. Pulled for the extra attacker. Is calculated as 60 minutes. I think?
  15. 1pm Sunday game here in Australia. Am watching with a bit of a sore head after a wedding last night. Thanks for the thread Carty. Go flames go.
  16. Josh Anderson. Trade Tkachuk to Columbus for the 25 year old 6’3, 221 pound right shot, right wing and his $1.85m cap hit. Had 47 points in 82 games last year and was a plus 25. Will be an rfa with arbitration rights after this season. He likely slots in nicely on either of the top two lines. With Gaudreau, Bennett, Lucic, Mangiapane and Dube for the left side maybe Anderson gives us a better balance. If we signed Mangiapane at $850k we would still have $4.3m in cap space with Frolik and Brodie still with us. Columbus would have $12.5m in cap space to sign Tkachuk and still have space and gives them a replacement for Panarin. This is the only player I would be willing to trade Tkachuk for and am fully aware this will be an unpopular opinion but ultimately I think it makes us better.
  17. Sorry everyone for hijacking the 40 years thread and turning it into a medical thread. To get things back on track I am offering a trivia question. By my calculations there are 8 current flames wearing numbers that were also worn by players in both the ‘89 cup winning team and the ‘04 cup finalists. Can you name the number, the ‘89 player, the ‘04 player and the current flame? I will give you one as an example #17 - Hrdina - Clark - Lucic I believe there are seven others. Enjoy.
  18. My issues are certainly not life threatening, I have a recurring polinidal sinus. If you’re interested in having a little chuckle at my expense google it. Sounds simple enough but I have missed over 7 months work over the past two years because of it, maybe 3 weeks of that was during hockey season.
  19. I hope you are recovering well Horseman. I can sympathise with your boredom to a degree, I am now entering week 7 of being hospital and house bound after yet another surgery. I have now had 6 operations in the past 2 years to try and rectify the same issue. Fingers crossed we have it sorted this time. I believe I have spent the majority of my recovery time searching capfriendly and nhl sites for trade partners and have largely came up empty. The general lack of trades and rfa signings has not helped the boredom either. Get well soon.
  20. I have been thinking about this too and was thinking that Alexander Wennberg may be a good addition for the flames. Had a relatively poor season for Columbus with 25 points in 75 games and a minus 2 on the regular season and then was a healthy scratch for some playoff games, seemingly on the outer with Torts. He then goes to the world championships and has 10 points in 6 games for a plus 11. It makes me think he would thrive here in the company of our fellow Swedes. Also worth noting he was the only Swede for Columbus last season but they have added Gustav Nyquist since.
