Baalzamon 46 Report post Posted June 16, 2011 Flames had 1 player in the AHL last year that could potentially play in the top 6 in the NHL. Pretty hard to create offense when you don't have much talent. Playfair had to play based on the talent he had and the talent he had was not good enough to play a high octante offensive system. and on top of that, the player in question (I'm assuming you mean Nemisz, though this applies to Wahl as well) was a first year player in the AHL. one interesting thing I noticed about Nemisz's statline is that it's quite comparable to his rookie OHL season totals. Brodie's was slightly better than his first full OHL season's. I just thought that was kinda neat.
cross16 2,969 Report post Posted June 16, 2011 Ya I didn't include Wahl because of the injury but yes it was Nemisz. There really isn't anything you can do offensivly down there. Even the guys they brought in, like Keith and Laing, were not offensive guys. Valuable, but just arn't going to give you much offensive punch.
