Yup, shame. Especially if it's over burnt bridges. Wait...he's...not on contract?

Apparently he is, and still with the orginization. Just noticed we got our first sign that he is still around, with the Abbotsford training camp roster announced!

Makes sense with the Heat preparing to survive the NHL camp. Hope he finds his groove this time and works his way back onto the notable prospects list.

What's this....Mitch just scored a goal?

http://theahl.com/stats/gamebygame.php?id=3627

+2 in his last two...5 shots on net, 2 penalty minutes...

The only reason we can't entirely rule him out, is that he did receive that massive concussion. We've all seen with players like Crosby how long the recovery time truly can be. Even now, Crosby's lost a step, going from the clear, dominant player in the NHL, to somewhere in the top 3. But you can see him slowly getting his game back.

Mitch ain't no Crosby. But I suppose it's always possible that he could return to form.

Let's see if he can hold his spot with the Heat...

Sounds like an exchange of players that have both fallen on hard times in their respective careers. Best of luck Mitch, and welcome to Michael!
