Every time they seemed on the verge with a tough upcoming couple games vs top competition, they managed to pull it out and continue to stay in the hunt...
And then BAM... first division title in franchise history.
Could be short lived vs a motivated Kovalchuk, who is a Hart Trophy-like player when on...
But under-estimating the Panthers has bit a lot of teams in the butt this yr.
Having said that.. Devils in 5.
Go underdogs!

That's definitely the highest i've heard in a long time... I heard of a handful of 20ish shot periods... but don't think as high as 26!
lead 3-zip.
Panthers seemed to have settled in the 2nd a bit and remember they are in fact a NHL team...
shots are 2-2 in 8 mins of play of the 2nd.

Brodeur collapses.
PP is ON FIRE. what is it now 6 for 10?
Coaching subtleties of the game i love...
With about 50 seconds left and the Panthers up 4-3, the Panthers iced the puck and everyone in the building knew the Panthers needed to use their time out.
Seeing that Deboer already had called his guys over to the bench to draw up a play, Dineen sends his guys to the Face Off circle. Deboer gives a quick look over to see if Dineen was calling his TO and Dineen didnt budge. Deboer ends up using his TO and allowed the Panthers to save it in case of another icing situation.
