Calgary Stampeders 2012

Yiiiiiiiiiiiii making light humor over a brutal murder....

double murder

For starters Boomers comments should have no reflection on the the teams image and it's unfortunate that it does. He is just a radio host who works for a station that doesn't even cover Stamps games. Also a Bomber fan at heart as most who have listened to him over the years would know. Unfortunately that is never mentioned in when the subject is brought up.

The Tate thing definitely reflects bad, but its an issue that I don't see ever going away unless they make a rule that any player hit in the head has to be evaluated after. Should have thought before doing his interview for sure.

As for locker room material, that's just football nothing new and I'm sure there will be stuff said back and forth in the coming days. There are a couple Leo's who are well known trash talkers too.

As for Lewis, yeah it was another dumb thing he did. Par for the course that every now and then he does that, still love him as a player though all heart and a leader. Not like he's the only one who did something dumb on twitter. In case you forgot http://www.vancouversun.com/life/Lions+Khalif+Mitchell+China+comments+stir+online+criticism/7404402/story.html

mine was more of a rhetorical post. wasn't expecting justifications of actions.

What's with the gong show that is the stampeders?

Radio dude hopes the Sask crashes killing 4 players..

Drew concussion controversy..

Then locker room material stating the lions were in prayer meetings hoping Sask won..

Then good old Twitter joke gone bad by Lewis -again- re needing a white girl named Nicole after buying OJ's gloves...

Just extra douche in the locker room Gatorade this fall?

Don't forget Jon Cornish exposing his buttocks, lol. Even last game he had a wardrobe malfunction.

Going to the west final..

So glad this game is on at 1:30p here...

Whenever we (3 of us) go to a 7:00p Friday or Saturday night game, we end up at the Keg and then strip joint afterward getting home @ 3 or 4 in the morning, waking up with a big headache and an annoyed wife.

Disciple will be a requirement for a Sunday game....

Tate is a bandaid.

What are you talking about? He has hardly played yet in his career, he didn't have any injury problems last year which was more or less his rookie year as a starter. The guy has one injury plauged year and suddenly hes a bandaid? wheres the logic? To be honest you may very well be right but to say hes injury prone after one problematic year is a ridiculous assumption.

It was just a football game dickhead... But ask yourself this... If it was not for us in Alberta, where else would the money from your social welfare programs come from?...

I have no idea what that 1 was babbling about. He/she probably just tuned in for the Justin Beiber (until today I thought it was a little girl named Justine Beebee :) ) performance & is upset about the booing (& the fact there were these big guys on the field most of the time so it wasn't a full concert).

The Stamps lost (& my tickets didn't win but the money goes to a meal program) but we filled 1 of our hockey-less evenings.

Unfortunately my province is 1 that partakes of that largesse due to our socialist government. Overpay their union based constituency but rely on the provinces just west of us to prop that up. @ least Sask. realized that was a road to nowhere so allowed businesses to make money & generate an economy.

Brutal loss by the Stampeders!!!! Not much more to say on the matter. Wasn't even heartbreaking, just simply pitiful. :(

Unless both of you are Argo fans your team didn't play today.

So are they less deserving or more pitiful?

"Man, you guys are making it seem like somebody died," said the feel-good-story-gone bad. "I mean, like ‘Wow!’ We lost a game."

Those were Kevin Glenn's post game remarks, and it explains why the Stamps lost. That's the kind of attitude you're going to have after losing a championship game? I'm not a huge Stamps fan. Will passively follow along during the season and tune in to watch if they make it to the Finals. But a person with that kind of attitude should not be brought back. Pathetic reaction.

Have you ever done an interview in front of several million people? No. Didnt think so. So sorry he didn't weep like a baby just to satisfy you. Considering we made the grey cup with our back up qb is a feat of its own, unfortunatly things fell apart for everyone in the last game. This loss isn't due to bad attitude, it was just a bad game at the worst possible time. And being that your admitedly a fair weather fan you have no right to pass judgement or decide why we lost.

What does me doing an interview in front of several million people have to do with anything? I don't want him to weep. What I want is someone who gives a damn and its evident by his comments that he does not.

Secondly, the Stamps weren't nearly as hungry as the Argos were. The compete level was many notches below the point it should have been for a Grey Cup game and that is related directly to the players' attitude.

Lastly, I'm not a fairweather fan. The definition of a fairweather fan is someone showing support when the team is doing well and when they're not, bandwagoning other teams. I don't do that. What I am is a casual fan of the team, and therefore have every right to pass judgment.

well I dont know about you but I personally would be rather intimidated by having millions watch me while the press rips my already broken heart to shreads with ridiculous questions. Did you ever stop to think that maybe he gave a half arse interview because he was so down on himself? Not everyone can hold there composure in front of a nation after a heart break like he just went through. My guess is he was so pissed off that he didnt conduct the interview the way you would have liked. After all if the stamps have such a poor attitude then how did they make it to the grey cup in the first place? How did were beat a lions team which is clearly better and how did we finish 2nd in our division this season and how did we do all that with our back up qb?

Have you ever played organized team sports? I would guess that you have. Has your team ever had a very bad game irregardless of importance? again I would guess they have. The stamps played better in almost every game this year. Now im not in the locker room so im not going to guess reasons why, but whatever I may be clearly they had a bad game at the worst time possible. I dont buy for a second that they didn't want that grey cup as bad as anyone especially if you look at what they went through to get there.

Fair weather, casual, its all semantics. I admit you have the right to bash how they played but not a players personality Based on one game and a post game interview. If you knew anything about glenn then you would know he is a fierce competitor and one of the leagues more professional players.
