The one guy that interests me is Nick Palmieri. Good size and plays a gritty style game, he's the type of player Calgary could use, and he could develop into a top 9 forward.

I wouldn't mind the Flyers claiming Irving. The pipeline in rather empty, he'd get a chance to play & I've never given up on him.

Sorry guys but I'd rather a friend claims him & gives him a chance.

Combined with moving Lombardi, this could free up almost 8 mil in cap space? Coincidence, or are they planning an acquisition?

I have to wonder what Nonis might be up to... :)

Part suggestion, part question.

I think we should be strengthening our right-hand side in general off of waivers.

Anybody see anyone that would be of value to the Flames?

I think Alex Plante and Nick Palmieri are worth looking at. If you're of the "we need grit" camp, maybe Joel Rechlicz?

Alex Plante, in particular would be great, because we can start plucking Edmonton's youth away from them :)

Also, put in a veteran squad, Alex would be able to develop properly and would be given the ice time due to our shortcomings on the right-hand side.

Palameri isn`t a good enough skater IMO to play a top 9 roll which is why i`m not suprised he keeps going on waivers and not getting claimed, glad they passed on him he isn`t the fit they need i`d rather see what they can get out of Comeau.
