Wow, that's quit the Calgary connection.  This will be an interesting Olympics.  The Russian are expected to be the favorites with talent available from the KHL.  I'm not writing off Canada, cuz we have many hockey players.

Today has been a great day for hockey.  First I wake to watch the men's team win bronze.  Then I stroll down to the Dome and watch the home team pound the AVS on a beautiful spring like day which reminds me of playoff hockey.  Then I watch the Stars, Ducks and Kings lose.  What will top off the day is watching Germany beat the cheaters from Russia for gold medal.  Go Germany!

Edit:  Oh well, who is going to remember the OAR tomorrow?  Nobody.

Germany certainly surprised everyone. Beating our rag tag bunch & taking a Russian team of ex-NHLers & current KHL players to OT is quite an accomplishment. Congrats Germany.

I hope the Flames scouted the heck out of them once they started winning

.Offer a few try outs for next camp. If we find even 1 gem it's worth a shot.
