2018-19 Playoff Wild Card Projection

Recommended Posts

I only use Pyro's laptop for dumb stuff. Then log into my account and.....oh Satoshi Nakamoto.lol

Excellent, excellent to meet you pyro.

This isn't a baiting site. lol So I'd highly recommend meeting people. They're just like you. lol

It's not hard. A bit awkward, but it's a 2 way street.

I generally like the people here and haven't been disappointed yet. Seems like a good thing if I'm the disappointing one!

Ohhh, and the main thing, I was worried he'd have, like, a knife, and come after me.

Oh wait. Wait. Hang on a second. No. That was a dream I had. lol

Folks is folks.

Finally the Flames magic number someone away.

No matter what, LA is rearview mirror material.

The East is interesting to watch.

PITT vs CBJ for the last spot.

I'm hoping for CBJ, just so they can lose in the 1st round.

Then again, if TBL faced PITT, they might lose.

The West.

Some teams just haven't noticed they are done.

Will DAL overtake STL or will they drop below MIN.

Can COL or ARI step it up just a bit and pass MIN?

WC West cutoff up to 89 pts. WC East cutoff down to 95 pts.

Bolts blow a chance to become the 1st clincher.

Flames project 2nd to the Dogfish.

Smarten up Flames & don't make me come down there! <_<

If Montreal loses in regulation today, Tampa is officially clinched.

As JLP said - "Make it so"

Canes & BJ's could easily turn the Habs into the Hab nots.

ARI's really kicking at the door now. Dvorak with his 1st 2 goals last night after missing 60-odd. Grabner with a goal after missing 40. Kuemper's now won 9 of his last 10.

They need to start winning a few more ROW.  A couple bhind Minny in the event of a tie.

I'm hoping for them to get in, though I'm not happy to have to face them.

Mostly because that would almost guarantee Smith starts in the playoffs.

Nice to see Chychrun really starting to step up too.

He's a good person and conducted himself with Stamkos-like class in jr. 16th oa, pfft.

I didn;t get why he kept falling.  I never got why VAN went Juolevi over him (or Tkachuk for that matter).  Sergachev is pretty decent too.  MTL lost out on him for a French guy that seems to be all about himself.  Then again, I'm still miffed over that draft.  Gave up the chance at Debrincat for a year of Elliott.

Can't say I was a fan of DeBrincat to make the leap.

He sure proved me wrong.

St Loo went for Kyrou, whom I'd have taken.

I was somehow hoping that Debrincat would have fallen to us.  His junior numbers were insane, even without Strome for a full season.

His size is deceptive, built low to the ground.

Kyrou has more skills. But I learned me a lesson via DeBrincat that not being afraid to score is the #1 attribute to have. lol

The net has always been 6x4 and lately, our guys have been shooting like it's 2x1 or intimidated by the goalie and try perfect passing plays.

I hope we stop overthinking it. Play simple, basic hockey.

We don't need pretty.

Then if it's time to amp it up, you've got some mileage left in the tank.

We spent half of this year ramping up in the 3rd period.

I don't know where that intensity has gone.

I agree.  Pretty doesn;t win it in the playoffs.

What is strange is that Backlund and Lindholm went cold again.

Maybe from all the line juggling.

We have some pretty good depth, so it's weird that we get shut out mostly over the last 4.

I haven't seen any late game push that has been intensified by line juggling.  Monahan stays exactly where he is.  JH gets double shifted with Backlund or Ryan.  Lindholm plays with Backlund.  Tkachuk plays with Monahan.  If guys are cold, then playing JH with them for 1/3 of a game probably isn;t going to do much.

I’m actually ok with the current offensive drought, it’s frustrating but it’s to be expected. This type of adversity is unscripted preparation for the playoffs. Goals are harder to come by and you have to solve the other teams puzzle within 7 tries. Reason why I’m “ok” with the drought is we’re still in games, we’re not getting blown out by any means. Our defense has actually been pretty steady overall.
