That WAS a play-off game.

Good chances for both sides.

Enough of the platitudes, I'm pissed off, lol

Its a series!

Need to skate better next game.

We were lucky to be in OT.

We needed a better effort on that tying goal.

Tough game and tough loss. Big save and it goes the other way. Typical

DEFEAT <_<

We were on our heels for the bulk of regulation time.

We need to rethink our MO to play against this Aves team.

They adjusted & now we need to adjust

What’s clear is that the Avs have done their homework on us. Maybe we need to study a little more on them.

We lost in OT.

Not like we were being dominated.

We had chance after chance

One goal on a broken play on the PP.

One goal on a broken play with the EN.

They had the better goalie in OT, but this was a close game.

Could have ended it a few times in OT.

Colorado made the adjustments after game 1 and Calgary didn't.

Smith played great again, far and away the best player for the Flames both nights.

Bennett was a force tonight.

Lindholm looks slower than he was at the beginning of the year, have to wonder if the increased minutes has caught up with him.

The refs were brutal tonight.

Need to move the puck quicker.

Smitty deserves a better fate but we also didn’t really deserve to win. But could’ve stolen it if we had our heads in it on that extra man attack.

That was a wake up call. Let’s skate next game.

Didn't expect a sweep but that one stings.

Fine line between winning and losing.

Lose a D zone faceoff, puck is in your net shortly after.

Miss a grade A scoring chance, 7 seconds later the game is over.

The silver lining is that I believe that's as good a game as COL can play and I think the Flames haven't really played too well through 2.

5 game series now. Need to take game 3

They got what they deserved. If not for Smith it was ove quick. Brodie needs to sit the Blockchaining guy is a liability. Bennett and Smith the rsst of the team were passengers. For a club that wants a deep run they sure looked like they had no desire to be on the ice today...sad

I feel like we got away with that kind of play all year but won in spite of play. It can’t happen in the playoffs. There was a lot of hype after game one and this team tends to believe their hype, and gets stung.

Hope they skate next game.

and I agree. Bennett and Smith came to play. The 4th line were good occasionally and that’s not enough. If not for smith it’s s blowout.

i expect to see Smith next game.

It's a series.   Avs want to win just as much as we do.

Been fortunate if we had snuck that one.

Whole tean need to show up.    I thought chucky was pretty invisibile tonight. He needs to be a force every game,

Glad they demotd Brodie to the 3rd line.   Bennet looked good tonight

Time to blow them away in their barn.

Go Flames Go!

Yes it is a series.

We are pretty darn good on the road.

There are two Brodies; the one that played tonight and the one that played n game 1.  You need to adjust accordinly.  He should not be on the PP when he is struggling.  In the OT, we were going for the win with Ras and Gio, but Ras is not as good a skater so once we lost possession, Mac was able to blow by him.

The mistake I felt the Flames made was spending too much effort trying to contain and not enough on offense.  Backlund is at his best in games where he plays less than 20 minutes.  One play where he completely crapped the bed was his turnover after about 20 seconds in the D-zone.  He had loads of time and reversed it behind the net.  That ended up being a 2 minute shift in the D-zone and allowed COL to dictate the game.

All in all, this was a game where we weren;t good 5v5.  That's supposed to be our bread and butter.  Spend too much time worrying about being physical and not enough about doing what we do best.  Score goals.

Brodie was terrible, glad to see Anderson take his spot 5v5.  The whole top line was more or less invisible, Neal and Jankowski floated around doing nothing, Tkachuk was uncharacteristicly ineffective.  One of the worst efforts I’ve seen this year, could have been 7-2 and you probably still wouldn’t have blamed Smith for much.  If we continue to play like this, we’ll be lucky to make it to game 6.

At least Bennett, Smith and Gio brought it last night (plus the fourth line at times).
