That’s a tap in goal with a little better pass from Gio. Game of inches sometimes

True enough.

Backlund just has to slow down a bit and not go by the net.

Backlund was in the right spot, the pass was off. The pass was on his backhand instead of on his forehand.

that was on Gio. Was a bad pass

type of play when your playing well goes in. When your not, well that happens.

It should not have been a pass consderng how deadly Gio is from that spot.

My point was that his backhand wasn't an option in case the pass was off.

Flames should have at least 3 or 4 goals. Just missing everything by about an inch or two right now. Have to bury them

Talbot appears to be used to overcompensating for a lack of defense by playing aggressive. He’ll have to learn to reel that in a bit here.

Tkachuk with a bad read and then he didn't get back fast enough to make up for his mistake. If you make that bad pass at the Blueline you have to bust your Hash Rate to get back and break up the 2 on 1.

I love Tkachuk and most of what he brings to the team, that being said the no look passes have to stop. He does 1-3 of these no look passes a night and 95% of them result in a turnover.

It seems like the Flames get on themselves when they make a mistake.

They chirp a bunch and forget to get in the play.

Janko did the same thing after he collided with Bennett last game.

Backlund needs to finish on breakaways.

Gio needed to shoot instead of going for an easy tap in with a chance of hitting a stick on the pass.

It's not like we are playing a goalie on top of his game.

We are missing the chances we normally connect on.

Difference in this game is that SJ is capitalizing on our mistakes and we aren't cashing in on our chances.

For everything we knock Brodie for, he gains the offensive zone so well and makes it look so easy most of the time. Smooth skater.

Skating and zone entries have never been his problem.

He gets tunnel vision and doesn;t see other things developing.

Like when he plays the line and doesn;t see a forward in the lane.

Flames looking like they are playing the 2nd game of a back to back at the end of this game.

Our strong suit is supposed to be faceoffs and we can't get a win when we need it most, and haven't been very good to start the season.

they are struggling for sure but it’s mildly concerning how they played that 3rd period. For a veteran team that has been together for a while, they chose to try and play an individual game and everyone tried to do it themselves. That’s not good.

Not surprising that they’ve won 2 of the first 6

Only scored 1st once. More often than not taking an early penalty and getting scored on early.

Have trailed for the majority of the game in 5 of the 6 games so far

Bottom 6 hasn’t scored in 6 games

That right there is your recipe for 2 wins in 6 tries.

Have to agree for a club with minimal roster changes they sure look like a new roster. B2B or not this effort and execution are very concerning. Once again the shot clock looks flattering as the shoot from the easy spots to stop. no net drive, easy to defend as they are predictable as hell. There needs to be some major changes and inject some life into this club as it has no pulse right now
