Well, I guess that my OHL line is together, but I meant Tkachuk, not Mangia, lol. Mangia would add speed to keep up with JG, keep Lindy's rhs with JG, and the Tkachuk-Mony-Bennett line could go play wrecking ball and try to dictate the pace. Backlund-Frolik could be a good 3rd line, but I'd try Janx on their wing. The 4th line is a bit of a hot mess, maybe Lucic-Quine-Ryan? Split faceoffs.

I would imagine there is a plan B.

Although Lucic is good at possession, I don;t see him being a defensive star, but it doesn;t matter so much with Frolik there I guess.

With the top line, I am assuming BP is building off the PP line a bit.

Tkachuk is going to charge up the middle and drive the net, while JH and Lindy will play catch.

Basically you have the two top goal scorers on one line.

The other possibility is that JH will set up Lindy driving down main street.  At least he finishes.

What I think is obvious is we lack RHS's.

Having Lindholm is great, but when he plays C, we have no RHS to play on his wing.

Since Czar is out for months, we need to look at prospects or trades.

Is Gawdin a viable option?  He's bigger and versatile.

Looked better than Janko in preseason and is coninuing to score in the AHL.

Interesting lines.  I agree it has to be mixed up a bit.

Peters had to try something different, and there is only one way to find out if these line combos will work out...   It's worth a shot...

I just wish Peters had been willing to experiment a bit in preseason, rather than waiting until games actually matter.

The goal of pre-season is to make it through 100% healthy.

The competition proves nothing.

But, I hear ya.

The thing about this game is that is means nothing other than 2 points.

There will be nothng learned by the lineup design today.

This has the makings of a trap game.

Chippy ice, possible snow, windshill.

Fun to watch, but only because it's NHL hockey.

No doubt there were also some limitations due to not having Tkachuk this time around...

I always consider that it takes about the 1st 18 games before the real NHL kicks in.
