Hawks @ Flames 7pm Dec 31

Tough loss last night, but at least there were a few positives for the Flames...   They outshot the Hawks 44 - 33, and outhit them 35 - 11...   Lehner was a difference maker with a .932 SV% , but Rittich had a bit of a rough night with an .875 SV%...

Not saying the loss was all on the refs, it wasn't...    But as usual, they sucked...   and that sure didn't help either...

Losing Brodie to illness was a blow.

Although the 2nd pairing was a plus on the night, I felt they were not effective.

Hanifin caught up the ice and Hamonic let Strome fire a shot without taking the shooter or pass.

Letting Maata and Kane walk around and fire a screened shot on Rittich was bad.

Started to see glimpses of Gaudreau, once they got him off Lucic's line.

But coaching fails to properly use players when they line blend.

Rieder and Mangiapane stapled to the bench for the 3rd.

Letting the refs get away with putrid lack of calls.

Ras gets hacked so hard to the hands he loses possession, and they call him after the whistle for a hack?

Johnny being hooked twice and taken down once, no call.

Missed off-side calls that would have had to be challenged if a goal was scored.

Reffing wasn;t the reason, but it sure made a comeback harder to manage.

Tkachuk spun like a top with the EN, resulting in an EN goal.
