Gustafsson should be an option for PP#2, not the top unit.

He has no defensive smarts.

Should be Ras any day.

I though so too. Wtf is Gustafsson doing on a PP unit?

They should allow us to decline penalty shot and takes PP instead.

Johnny is buzzing this afternoon, but the guy can’t score on a breakaway

PS's are tough for him.

He overthinks it.

Maybe because his biggest asset is that of being a proven powerplay qb??

Just a hunch..but I'm assuming that's it

We should be allowed to put in any player on the ice.

In which case I would use Monahan every time.

Because he does the exact same thing every single time ..dekes a few times and tries to open the five hole

Kinda funny, could be wrong but I feel like when he was a rookie he was really good on breakaways and shootouts. A beauty against Ottawa comes to mind. Last few years hasn’t went his way, it’s probably a mental hurdle at this point

Yep..Monahan , tkachuk and a far as I'm concerned Backlund ..should be our top 3 ..

It still baffles me why Backlund doesn't do more shoutouts..some of his one on one moves are just sick

The 2nd unit could use a QB.

He has not really been great with the top unit.

Some of it may just not being familiar.

One defensive player (Lindy) available to prevent breakdowns.

I would be okay with using him the right way.

When you only have one move in a fight, eventually, everyone knows they only have one move to defense against you.

He's been gripping the stick too tight.

He's always going to be pass-first.

I would like to see a few of the moves that he has success on:

- backhand roof

- wrist top corner, stick side

Ya between Gio and Gustafson that should be your 1st and 2nd ..in what order can be adjusted

So far I'm not sure they've had a real true practice since the TDL so that will be a big help once they get back

Talbot has been solid again.

Making it look easy.

Less scrambled than Rittich has been lately.

The only issue with Ras on the top unit is his reluctance to shoot from the point.

Gio has not been very good on the PP.

He's high risk at the line and breaks his stick more than he gets one-timers through.

Pick Gio or Gus, not both.

I think they should go with Talbot in a little while since Rittich has been shaky lately.

Well if I'm picking between Gio and Gustafson to qb my powerplay it's Gustafson hands down

So then it's between Gio and Anderson to qb the other one

No one on that top PP seems to shoot enough. 7-8 perimeter passes then a failed attempt to hit Monahan in the slot. But for your PP#1 thats probably what you want.  #2 should be get bodies in front and shoot shoot shoot. Thats whare you want Ras and dare I say....Gio.
