actually the opposite is true. Flames, under Ward, have not been a very good possession team. They are average.

Ah. So it’s worse. Negative possession AND zero high danger scoring chances. A recipe for success if I ever heard one.

I did not see a deflection and Talbot sutr didn’t react like it was a deflection. It’s basically a carbon copy of the goal Rittich let in against Josi in Nashville that most agreed he needed to have.

Yeah, I can't be sure.

It looked to me on the live shot that it went a bit lower than the initial shot.

Like he was playing it gove and it went lower.

EIther way, the shaft of a stick is not a great way to stop a puck.

If the puck hits it, it will change direction.

If it misses, then the puck is not visible until after it passes the stick.

Talbot has to buckle down for the 2nd.

We can come back from down 2.

David Ayers could be playing goal for Columbus right now and we’d still have no score.

I can't describe how bad the play is on entries.

They try passing and miss the target.

They tip it in 5 feet.

Bennett line the only one to have any pressure this period.

D-zone touches are pathetic.

And that's the part I don't get.

If they had some consistency in their own zone, they might be a really good team.

Backlund missed a point blank chance.

I don't know now much room he had, but it looked like all goalie on the shot.

I think this describes them in high danger chances too. they either hit the logo or miss the target

If Backlund one timed it that’s a goal, I get that it’s tough to do that on the strong side but that slight hesitation allowed him to make the save

Flames doing exactly what Ward was saying they have to stop doing.

Not being direct.

Sideways or back passing.

One goal changes the feel of the game. Get one Flames.

Any coincidence against a team that plays a playoff style. The Flames offence looks rather pedestrian aside from a couple looks

Need one here before this period ends.

I would say we need 2 in 25 minutes to make it a game.

One goal to get the team pumped up.

Once we get one, the 2nd will come.

Then again, we need to prevent that 3rd goal.

Why is Tkachuk on the hash marks and not in front? He's a good passer but he is a great tipper!
