It's beginning to look like a shutout here.

See that was a good spot for Gaudreau to shoot and get that rebound chance there.

Only voice worse than Cassie.....

Leah Hextal.

I was thinking Hrudey is marginally better.

Why does Calgary have a hard time playing at home? they just asked on the broadcast...

too pretty? Not simple?

Easy answer to why CGY plays so bad at home.....

Because the coach gets last change.

There is that too!

Maybe the other teams simplify as well and that gets them to play more structure. The Flames structure is?

I prefer when Johnny shoots from the RW.

Any rebount would be on Monahan's strong side.

The Flames were really good to start the year at home and bad on the road and since, it’s been a complete reversal

That makes sense. but it's something the flames don't do enough of. I wonder what the stat is on second chances compared to other teams

Listening to Burke, I can hear what the Flames don't do. Text book hockey and text book hockey. Is that coaching or players not playing the system?

I also think it could be accountability.

I can't be certain of this, but I find that the Flames panic when the puck is loose in the opponent's crease.

It's like watching Timbits hockey.

People hacking at it like it's a mouse.

Zero composure to take the millisecond to control it.

That's what I see a lot.

The flames play simple on the road. Pucks go north-south, they dump it in, they forecheck and they get a man back. At home they play a skilled game. They want to go East-west, they hold onto the puck and they seem like they want to make a highlight pack instead of win the game.

the flames play on the road shows me what the tram can be. Their play at home reminds of me of the quote “hard work bests talent when talent doesn’t work hard”

I loved that segment as to me that’s how you play D. To defend the flames a bit, that isn’t their system. Under Ward they’ve been more or an aggressive man team in their d zone.

So it’s not apples to apples

Flames just had a good road trip. They’re satisfied, not hungry. Even with Edmonton winning, we’re not motivated.

It was an interesting setup.  Wasn;t that the way Peters used to stack the D-zone?

Edmonton is leaving us in the dust.  Lets hope they are Calgary of last year and get wrecked first round.

SHUT OUT.

MORE COWBELL.

Korpisalo hasn't misplayed a single shot.

CBJ is one of the least penalozed teams, if not the least.

I don't get the passing.

You are moving with the puck and the pass is to a player not moving.

Or the between the legs blind pass.

With folino on the ice Columbus still wins the puck battle. Weeeeeeeak. Booooooooo.

I would prefer to have Ras on the ice with Gaudreau.

AT least someone that can make a clean first pass.

Their effort is not up to par but the flames were also very unprepared for how Columbus is playing. They can’t break through at all and seem to have zero game plan.

Hey Wardo. Throw the lines in a blender with Bennett at center.

I hate that.

Brodie has a line on the net, winds up and boom...

passes it to Gio for a wrist shot, no rebound.

Typical bad choices.

You are deep, and try to put it back to the guy skating in the zone.

Almost a breakaway.
