Stamps, 2008 Grey Cup Champions!

Recommended Posts

Good day for Calgary, let's hope they throw a massive party and maybe inspire the Flames to get a similar party of their own.

YOu have to be happy for so many of these guys. From Burris (who was always told he wouldn't win the big one) to Lewis who contemplated retirement with the constant playoff dissapointments, Copeland, Pilon, Reynolds, even Jim Barker who all grounded out some very tough years to get here.

Caught up in all of this, is perhaps the STamps peaked one year too soon. Hosting the grey cup next year and there is already talk Cortez and Jones (def coordinator who IMO was one of the biggest reasons the Stamps won yesterday, Great game plan) may move on to head coaching roles, Browner is a FA and likely to try the NFL and make it, and I believe Dangelias and Reynolds may even be FA. This team could look fairly different next year but at least Huff will be back. Waht an incredible job he did. Coach of the Year hands down IMO. Yes what Trestman did was very impressive but again he did it against 2 of the weakest teams in the league, and a not much better Winnipeg. Stamps did it in the ultra tough West. Best record, never lost their composure, always kept perspective, bounced back, won on the road. All signs of a great coach.
